The event was attended by 22 official representatives of the United States and companies which have already invested in the USA and are thinking of a further expansion together with companies looking for information about market opportunities in the USA.

SelectUSA is an initiative of the American federal government that promotes the USA as the privileged destination for companies all over the world, whose main desire is to develop and expand their productive and/or commercial investments. Michelangelo Morlicchio’s attendance recognizes the success of the acquisitions strategy that led to his company’s growth in the USA, with two production plants: one in Ohio and the other in West Virginia.

Tecnocap is a worldwide metal packaging manufacturer, specialized in metal closures for glass jars and plastic containers. The group is one of the biggest producers of tinplate and aluminum closures as well as aluminum monobloc aerosol cans and aluminum bottles for some of the world’s best known consumer brands in food, beverages, spirits, cosmetics, personal care, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, industrial and household products.

Michelangelo Morlicchio, chairman and CEO of Tecnocap group, stated that due to several economic factors, apart from the active role of its institutions and local promotion offices, the USA still represents the prime target for global investments. He then continued: “I am convinced that internationalization is the main road for the growth of a company and Tecnocap’s fourteen acquisitions in the last 10 years are an obvious testimony”.
