Tecnocap and Eticpress: A Story of Innovation and Growth
Founded in 1990 in Carpenedolo, in the province of Brescia, Eticpress quickly established itself as a leader in the adhesive label production sector. A winning insight from founder Maurizio Serina, who recognized the potential of a rapidly evolving market, focusing on quality and innovation to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse consumers. 2020 marked a turning point for the company, with the move to its new headquarters in Castel Goffredo, a modern 5,000-square-meter facility. This strategic decision allowed Eticpress to optimize logistics and expand its production capacity, laying the foundation for even more ambitious growth.
The Serina family has always been the driving force behind Eticpress. In addition to founder Maurizio, the business development has been supported by his wife Bruna, son Paolo, and sister Federica—key figures who share the vision and values that define the company.
With over thirty years of experience, Eticpress has gained a prominent position in the Italian adhesive label market, becoming a reference point in the most demanding sectors: cosmetics, perfumery, and personal care. Success has been built on the ability to offer customized solutions that best enhance high-end products. „To convey the essence of a perfume, you need something that can evoke emotions in the consumer while also being functional, justifying the value of a premium product,“ explains Maurizio Serina.
Eticpress goes beyond traditional raw materials, exploring creative solutions such as fabrics, leathers—both natural and synthetic—and materials from other sectors, appropriately transformed and made suitable for labeling. The production process is supported by a cutting-edge machinery fleet that includes all existing printing techniques: offset, flexography, screen printing, and digital printing.
To improve quality and production efficiency, Eticpress continues to invest in innovation. In May 2024, the Lombardy-based company installed a new Cartes GT360 line, an advanced system that integrates a range of features designed for sophisticated embellishments. The line is equipped with state-of-the-art configurations that allow for precise and creative responses to customer needs, offering top-quality labels: semi-rotary flexo varnishing, four screen printing heads, two dedicated hot foil units, and a semi-rotary die-cutting system.
Additionally, in the near future, Eticpress will introduce the revolutionary Jet D-Screen system, developed by Cartes, which represents the future of digital embellishments. An exclusive technology that allows operations like selective varnishing, high-thickness varnishing, flat foil applications, and striking gold foil effects, all without the use of frames and mechanical clichés. This approach combines precision, versatility, and sustainability while reducing costs and environmental impact. „The productivity of Cartes technology has allowed us to double our speed, saving hours of work on each job and giving us more certainty about delivery dates, as we can create complex labels in a single pass without reprints,“ continues Maurizio Serina.
With a focus on continuous improvement and the goal of offering an increasingly comprehensive and innovative service, Eticpress has recently joined the Tecnocap Group, a multinational in the metal packaging sector with production plants located across four continents and over 1,100 employees.
This strategic decision is part of a shared industrial project aimed at expanding the range of available solutions and strengthening the company’s competitiveness in the global market. The Tecnocap Group stands out for its commitment to sustainability and technological innovation, offering solutions that combine quality, technical assistance, and a strong focus on research and development.
The new CEO of Eticpress, Alberto Mormile, states: „The synergy between Eticpress and Tecnocap represents a significant step for both entities. Eticpress will benefit from Tecnocap’s know-how and global network to explore new markets and expand its offerings with ever-new technologies. Tecnocap will further broaden its skill set by integrating excellence in the high-end label sector, which, in synergy with other products from the Group, will meet the needs of luxury brands and the most discerning consumers.
