Tecnocap at the Gulfood Manufacturing 2024
Tecnocap made an impactful debut at Gulfood Manufacturing Expo 2024 in Dubai, one of the world’s largest food and beverage industrial processing and packaging events, presenting its latest products and innovations in food packaging.
The Dubai Expo represents the perfect platform and a unique opportunity for the Group to establish new relations, to grow and consolidate its presence in the Middle East, Africa and India. Developing new operations in promising geographies and diversifying the universe of packaging solutions offered to FMCG brands are the drivers of the Group’s ambitious industrial strategy to position itself among the leading multinational integrated packaging companies by exploiting technological, industrial and commercial synergies.
This year’s event celebrated also key partnerships for Tecnocap’s ambitious worldwide expansion plan with two new value members joining the Group. ReefCap, experienced metal packaging manufacturer with a production plant in Jeddah, and MetaGlobe, one of the leading metal packaging distributors for the African continent, bring crucial expertise and a deep understanding of African and Middle Eastern market dynamics.
“Together, we showcased a comprehensive lineup of packaging solutions resulting from a groundbreaking fusion of knowledge, cutting-edge technology and sustainability and designed for beverage, and food applications — segments where demand continues to grow across the Middle East and African region” said Michelangelo Morlicchio, Goup CEO.
Throughout the event, Tecnocap’s team had the chance to engage with key industry leaders, clients, and innovators from around the world, taking part in networking sessions and product showcases to foster relationships and share insights on Tecnocap’s ongoing innovation, total quality and sustainability improvement plans driving packaging excellence.
The Dubai Expo was also an exciting teambuilding event, playing a crucial role in growing together as an organization and laying the foundations for cross-cultural learning, sharing and innovation with the Arabian, Egyptian and Indian colleagues.
Feedback from the event confirmed that Middle East food industry is a dynamic sector characterized by steady growth and innovation. The new burgeoning middle class and the huge increase of incomes reinforced the consumer awareness towards premium and organic products and sustainable food and beverage products. The region, then, is witnessing a surge in demand for recyclable packaging materials. Moreover, the food industry and retail landscape in the “Gulf” area has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the years. With retail sectors playing a pivotal role in driving economic growth and customer engagement, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have emerged as dynamic hubs for commerce in the Middle East. At the same time, the food and beverage industry in Africa is growing rapidly (is projected to grow by abt. 10% yearly) and is undergoing a significant transformation driven by a growing population, expanding economies, and evolving consumer preferecnes.
Africa boasts a rapidly expanding middle class, expected to reach 313 million people by 2030. This demographic shift holds immense potential for the food and beverage industry, with consumers increasingly seeking innovative, higher-quality, health-conscious, and branded food and beverage options products.
